Pirates of the Caribbean goes crazy!

I almost put this in weird stuff, because I can’t really figure this out.  Pirates of the Caribbean is a bit of a dumb movie, not really something that I would picture as a blockbuster or nothing, but there you go.  This weekend was a record opening day, and a record weekend, number one above and beyond.

The funny part?  The critics hate it.  All the reviews have been bad or worse, like this one here that calls it a bermuda triangle of bad..  They hate the living heck out of it.  The reviews have been pretty much universally bad, and yet the public in general is eating it up.
