Dog Gets Tagged, bounty hunter gets bail.
Okay, I am sure that many of you have seen the show on A&E TV called “Dog the Bounty Hunter”, basically following around a bounty hunter / religeous wingnut as he goes about his somewhat weird life. Members of his “extended” and not always exactly true family all run bail bonding places… you know, when someone gets arrested and they say “release on $10,000 bond”, well, they sell the bond at a price. If the person fails to show up for court, well, then the bond can be lost – so they have to go out and find these people and drag them back to jail.
Anyway, a couple of years ago, they caught some rich trust fund baby who was on the lam in Mexico and dragged him back to the US for a pretty hefty finder’s fee… except, well, Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. So they got arrested in their home in Hawaii because they failed to show up in Mexico for court of this matter… Dog got bailled out, but now he has to wear a monitoring thign all the time.
