Digital TV Cutover Still Not Right

Nothing like a good government program to be sure that things will get all screwed up. Digital TV is coming – very soon. In fact, it has been coming for years, like a train the schedule has been known for years and yet here we are at the last minute and many people just don’t seem to be at the station and it isn’t clear all the track is laid. The digital converter set top box coupons have been delayed or have expired before they got used, so the government has added another optional delay to the conversion time. The reality is that a vast majority of the stations in the US will pull the plug on their analog signals pretty much as fast as they can, to avoid having to maintain that equipment anymore. So even with 5 or 6 years lead time and a couple of delays already, this government lead program has turned into another disaster of missing money and poor management.
