Avis brings Wi-Fi to rental cars
I think I can honestly say “what they heck are they thinking?”
Avis Rent-a-car has announced they they will be having wi-fi equipment installed in some of their rental fleet that will allow streesed out business types to access the internet without having to leave their rental cars. In theory, this sounds great, they can work on a presentation just before going in to see client, or get the latest bid done just before they meet with people… but I can see some bad here.
It is bad enough these days that people talk on their cell phones and try to write notes and stuff while they are driving down the highway, I can’t wait to see what it looks like them these bozos are out there surfing the web and trying to answer email in traffic or worse at 60 mph down the interstate.
