Arab Princesses: Can’t sit next to men
There are things that really make you wonder what people are thinking. Â I never can understand people who come from a specific culture, and then are shocked when the rest of the world won’t do it their way.
Seems that three princesses from the very conservative Qatari royal family were returning via plane from a day’s shopping in Italy, and they had seats in business class.  Well, it seems that their conservative beliefs don’t allow them to sit in the same row as a man who is not their husband or their family member. As a result, there was no way to get them all seated acceptibly in the plane, at least not to the satisfaction of men in their travel party of 8 people.
The Qatari men were so upset that they repeatedly stood up and moved about the plane while they were attempting to taxi for takeoff, so much so that the plane had to stop and was not able to move forward. Â After a three hour delay that included some very rude comments from other passengers, the plane returned to the gate and the Qatari passengers were enjected from the flight.
Here is a tip for the Qataris: When you are in the western world, you must understand and accept western customs. If you don’t want your sisters sitting next to men they don’t know, do a better job next time booking the seats so it doesn’t happen, and buy out all of the business class next time if it is really bothering you.
Heck, 8 of you, why not just rent a private plane? Then you can stop worrying about what horrible things could happen when your sisters sit next to a real man.
